Bhubaneswar, Aug. 3 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday announced an initial relief package of Rs 110 crore for flood-affected people and directed officials to ensure its immediate disbursal on the basis of the preliminary assessment of damages.

The Chief Minister said the State Government would extend all necessary financial assistance after the final assessment of losses. Funds for the repair of damaged roads, bridges and other public infrastructure will also be released following the completion of the damage assessment.
