Bhubaneswar, July 20 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday announced an ex gratia of Rs 10 lakh each from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) to the families of two devotees who died after falling ill during the world-famous Rath Yatra in Puri.

The Chief Minister expressed deep grief over the deaths of Anil Das of Cuttack and Ashok Subare Raikar of Mumbai, both of whom passed away while undergoing treatment after they fell ill during the Rath Yatra on July 16.

Majhi announced financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased from the CMRF as a mark of support to the bereaved families.
