Bhubaneswar, June 13 -- The Odisha Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, has approved a budgetary provision for clearing outstanding liabilities of closed cooperative spinning mills, powerloom units and a sizing unit, a move aimed at unlocking industrial land for fresh investments in the textile and apparel sector.
The decision, taken at the Cabinet meeting held late Friday night, is expected to facilitate the establishment of new employment-intensive industries and accelerate industrial growth and job creation across the state.
