Bhubaneswar, Aug. 22 -- The Odisha State Bar Council on Friday issued show-cause notices to three advocates for allegedly publishing, circulating and disseminating advertisements, solicitation and promotional content relating to their legal practice in violation of the Bar Council of India Rules.
The notices have been issued to the three for allegedly violating Rule 36 of Section IV, Chapter II, Part VI of the Bar Council of India Rules, according to an official communication issued by the State Bar Council on Friday.
Rule 36 prohibits advocates from directly or indirectly soliciting work or advertising their legal practice through print, electronic or other media, including social media platforms.
