Bhubaneswar, Aug. 10 -- A seven-member standing committee of the Odisha Legislative Assembly is on a study visit to Telangana to examine legislative practices, departmental functioning and budgetary scrutiny.

The Department-related Standing Committee-7, headed by chairman Sudhir Ranjan Pattjoshi, visited the Telangana Legislative Assembly on August 7 and interacted with the Speaker, Chairman of the Legislative Council and officials of various departments.

The committee held discussions on the functioning of the Industries, Steel and Mines, Forest and Environment Protection, Commerce and Transport, Planning and Coordination, and Skill Development and Technical Education departments.
