Bhubaneswar, Aug. 8 -- Calling drug-resistant tuberculosis one of the continuing challenges to India's TB elimination efforts, Odisha Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy on Saturday urged closer collaboration among AIIMS Bhubaneswar, the State Government and other stakeholders to translate scientific advances into effective public health interventions.
Addressing the valedictory ceremony of the two-day National Conclave and Policy Dialogue on Tuberculosis hosted by AIIMS Bhubaneswar, Padhy also called for pilot initiatives using advanced genotypic testing to generate evidence that could guide future policy decisions.
