Bhubaneswar, July 2 -- Odisha's Nayagarh Police have secured convictions in two separate kidnapping cases, reflecting the effectiveness of professional investigation, coordinated prosecution and close monitoring by police and prosecution authorities.
According to an Odisha Police release issued on Thursday, in the first case registered at Ranpur Police Station, the accused was convicted and sentenced to five years of rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs.2,000.
The conviction was secured following an investigation conducted by the then Investigating Officer, Sub-Inspector Sangram Keshari Paikray.
