Bhubaneswar, May 12 -- The 105th birth anniversary of noted freedom fighter and Padma Shri awardee Bhawani Charan Patnaik was observed as 'Prerana Diwas' today at the Buddha Temple here, where youths pledged to work towards nation-building through service, peace and social harmony.
Addressing the gathering, noted Gandhian thinker and columnist Prahallad Singh said Bhawani Charan Patnaik's life symbolised service, goodwill and non-violence. He urged youths to dedicate themselves to selfless service and uphold Gandhian values in public life.
