Bhubaneswar, Aug. 20 -- Lathikata Tahasildar-cum-Sub-Registrar Muralidhar Urmal was intercepted by Odisha Vigilance while allegedly carrying Rs. 5 lakh in suspected ill-gotten cash today, following which simultaneous searches were launched at three locations linked to him, officials said.
Acting on reliable information, a Vigilance team intercepted Urmal near Rajabasa Chhak in Lathikata while he was travelling in a hired SUV from his office.
