Bhubaneswar, April 27 -- In its quest for ideal habitat, an adult Royal Bengal Tiger which had trekked around 1,500 kilometre forest cover spread across three districts last year, has now settled down at its new home adapting to its ecology in Odisha's Similipal Tiger Reserve, officials said today.
The male big cat traversed through Bonai forest (Sundargarh district) besides the dense forest cover in Deogarh and Dhenkanal and districts. Finally, the itinerant big cat made its way to Simlipal.
It had adapted to its new home. The congenial environs of Similipal with varied prey base have come out much to the liking of the tiger.
