Bhubaneswar, May 24 -- A man was injured after coming in contact with the live high-voltage Overhead Electric (OHE) system while climbing a stationary goods wagon at Mancheswar Railway Station during the early hours of Saturday, officials said.
The incident, according to railway officials, took place on Railway Track No. 07 where a loaded wagon was standing. The man allegedly climbed onto the wagon and came dangerously close to the live overhead electric wire, triggering an electric arc before he fell beside the track with injuries.
On-duty personnel of the Railway Protection Force immediately rushed to the spot and shifted the injured man to the Railway Hospital in an ambulance for emergency treatment. After preliminary treatment, he was...
