Bhubaneswar, May 1 -- The forest wing of Odisha Vigilance arrested two suspected poachers and made a seizure of a leopard skin from Boudh district, the officials said on Friday.
Basing upon reliable information, the wildlife offenders identified as Abhay Nayak and Nilakantha Kanhar were arrested and a skin was seized yesterday during a surprise raid at Karanjkata village under Puruna-Katak police station jurisdiction. The accused, booked under Section 9 and 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, were later remanded to judicial custody, they said.
