Bhubaneswar, June 17 -- In a major anti-insurgency operation, Kandhamal Police in Odisha recovered a substantial cache of Maoist arms, ammunition, explosive materials and logistical supplies from concealed dump sites in remote forest areas of the district.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs about the presence of hidden Maoist stockpiles, police launched a multi-party search operation on June 16 across the Sitagurha, Ganjugurha, Kutibarhi, Gudrikya and Lanjam areas under Kotagarh, Baliguda and Tumudibandha police station limits.
