Bhubaneswar, May 4 -- In a major crackdown on illegal gambling, Rajgangpur Police in Odisha's Sundargarh district busted an IPL betting racket and apprehended five persons allegedly involved in the operation.
Acting on credible intelligence about illegal IPL satta activities in the region, Sundargarh Superintendent of Police ordered immediate action and constituted a special team to investigate and dismantle the network.
The team, comprising SI R.K. Sethi, SI A. Behera, ASI P.K. Senapati, ASI H. Dhurua, along with other police personnel, carried out a targeted raid in Rajgangpur on Sunday under the supervision of senior officers.
