Bhubaneswar, May 23 -- Heat wave conditions will prevail in western and interior districts of Odisha up to May 29 because of the flow of north-westerly dry hot wind from north-west India and clear sky conditions locally, the Centre for Environment and Climate (CEC) of SOA Deemed to be University here, said today.
The temperature was likely to fluctuate between 43 and 46 degrees Celsius in the interior districts while warm south-westerly wind could cause hot and humid weather in coastal districts, a CEC bulletin said.
It said the day temperature could rise up to 44 degrees C in some of the coastal stations between May 24 and 27.
