Bhubaneswar, May 30 -- A major fire was reported in a coal-laden goods train under Odisha's Sambalpur Railway Division while the train was passing through Kesinga around 7:15 PM today evening, triggering an immediate emergency response by railway authorities.
Upon detection of the fire, railway officials swiftly activated safety and emergency protocols and alerted the local administration and fire services to prevent the situation from escalating.
The affected train was brought to Titlagarh at approximately 8:15 PM, following which intensive firefighting operations were launched. Fire Brigade personnel reached the site around 8:25 PM and immediately began efforts to douse the flames.
