Bhubaneswar, April 24 -- A former clerk of a Court was arrested today by Crime Branch wing of Odisha police on the charge of allegedly forging an order of Orissa High Court to obtain wrongful gain and shield his daughter from a bank fraud case.
Kartik Kumar Patro, who was earlier dismissed from service for misappropriation of government funds while serving as Malkhana Clerk, was arrested today from his rented house at Trisulia under Baranga Police Station, Cuttack, the Crime Branch said.
The accused had orchestrated a criminal conspiracy with his daughter, Amrita Priyadarsini Patro, in forging an order of the Orissa High Court to protect his daughter from arrest in the bank fraud case.
