Bhubaneswar, Aug. 1 -- The Odisha Cabinet today approved the Mukhya Mantri Janajati Jeevika Mission (MMJJM) 2.0, a Rs 2,995-crore flagship programme aimed at enhancing sustainable livelihood opportunities for around 8 lakh tribal and Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) households across the State.

Fully funded by the State Government, the programme will be implemented over five years from 2026-27 to 2030-31. It builds on the first phase of MMJJM, currently underway in 13 districts covering 1.5 lakh tribal households, and will now be expanded to 19 districts, covering 134 Tribal Sub-Plan and Micro Project Area blocks, 23 Integrated Tribal Development Agencies (ITDAs) and 20 Micro Project Areas, including all PVTG households.
