Bhubaneswar, June 9 -- In a major push to transform Odisha into a leading tourism and hospitality destination, the State Cabinet today approved the ambitious "Land Bank for Hospitality Infrastructure" scheme, a landmark initiative aimed at creating investment-ready land parcels across key tourist destinations and attracting large-scale private investments in the sector.

The move comes as Odisha seeks to leverage its rich cultural heritage, scenic landscapes, spiritual centres, wildlife reserves and coastline to position itself among India's foremost tourism hubs and emerge as a prominent eco-cultural tourism destination in Asia under the Viksit Odisha 2036 and 2047 vision.
