Bhubaneswar, May 21 -- The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation on Thursday held a preparedness meeting on prevention and control of vector-borne diseases, particularly dengue, ahead of the monsoon season.
The meeting, chaired by BMC Commissioner Chanchal Rana, focused on completing all preventive measures before the onset of rains and strengthening grassroots-level surveillance and awareness mechanisms to curb the spread of dengue.
During the meeting, emphasis was laid on extensive public awareness campaigns and coordinated action involving all stakeholders.
