Kendrapara, May 14 -- In a major crackdown on wildlife crime, officials of Bhitarkanika National Park have arrested a taxidermist and seized 20 kg of raw venison, two billhooks, 10 nylon snares, and other poaching materials from his possession.

Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF), Kanika Forest Range, Manas Kumar Das said the accused, identified as Ranjan Samal of Pattaparia village under Talachua Marine Police Station, was arrested on Wednesday during a special operation.
