Dharamshala, July 28 -- Acting on the directions of the Himachal Pradesh Government, the Nurpur Police, in coordination with the district administration and the Health Department, intensified enforcement and public awareness activities under the statewide 'Anti-Chitta Campaign (Phase-II)' across major markets and rural areas of the police district.

According to an official press note, joint teams conducted a special inspection drive to ensure strict compliance with the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA). Legal action was initiated against violators found flouting the provisions of the Act.
