Nurpur, Sept. 24 -- Nurpur Police have arrested two proclaimed offenders wanted in separate cases as part of a special drive against persons evading court proceedings, police said on Thursday.
A team of the Proclaimed Offender (PO) Cell arrested Prem Chand (44), a resident of Talyad in Mandi district, on September 22 in a cheque-bounce case registered under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. He has been declared a proclaimed offender by the JMFC, Nurpur, on February 5, 2020.
In another case, the PO Cell arrested Rashpal Singh (49) from the Talara area on September 23 on the basis of a tip-off.
