Ayodhya, Sept. 26 -- A team from the National Security Guard (NSG) arrived in Ayodhya on Saturday as part of efforts to further strengthen the security arrangements in the Ram Temple and Ayodhya.
The team held meetings with officials involved in security at the Ram Janmabhoomi complex and gathered information on various aspects.
According to sources, the team also gave a presentation to the officials involved in the security of the Ram Temple.
Preparations are already underway to establish an NSG regional centre in Ayodhya.
Recently, the state government approved the transfer of approximately 26 hectares (65 acres) of land in Milkipur tehsil to the union Home Ministry free of charge for the establishment of the NSG regional centre.
