Dimapur, Aug. 25 -- The Naga Students' Federation (NSF) on Tuesday demanded termination of the director of NIT Nagaland, A Elayaperumal, within 30 days, taking cognizance of the vigilance proceedings initiated by the directorate of vigilance and anti-corruption (DVAC), Tamil Nadu, against him on the 'ghost faculty' issue.
The NSF said the matter was published in national print media on November 15 last year.
The federation also urged the ministry to initiate disciplinary action and remove the registrar of the institute, Manoj E Prabhakar, following his suspension order issued by the chairman, Board of Governors, NIT Nagaland, on August 5 for "non-cooperation, incompetency and total failure" to perform as a registrar and member secretary, ...
