Muzaffarpur, June 1 -- Notorious shooter Govind Sharma alias Govinda, a key accused in the high-profile murders of Muzaffarpur Mayor Sameer Kumar and prominent land dealer Ashutosh Shahi, was shot dead by unidentified assailants on Amar Cinema Road, police said on Monday.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kantesh Kumar Mishra said here that Sharma had returned from Patna on Sunday night and reached his rented flat at Icon Tower Apartment . As he arrived at the second floor of the apartment building, two armed men, who were allegedly lying in wait, opened an indiscriminate fire on him at Icon Tower Apartment in the Chhoti Kalyani area.
