Kolkata, April 2 -- The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of West Bengal Thursday issued the official notification for the second phase of the Assembly elections, covering 142 constituencies across the state.
The notification follows the earlier announcement for the first phase and marks the formal commencement of the electoral process for the remaining seats.
As per the schedule laid down in line with the directives of the Election Commission of India, April 9 (Thursday), has been fixed as the last date for filing nominations.
The scrutiny of nominations will be carried out on April 10 (Friday), while April 13(Monday), is the last date for withdrawal of candidatures.
