Shimla, Feb. 26 -- Shimla Police said on Thursday that an alleged kidnapping from a resort in Chirgaon area of Shimla district triggered a swift police response on Wednesday, leading to dramatic highway interceptions, court proceedings, and the eventual grant of transit remand to an out-of-state police team.
According to an official statement issued by Shimla District Police Chief Garauv Singh on Thursday, information was received from Chansul Resort, Mandli (Chirgaon), that a group of individuals dressed in civilian clothes and travelling in vehicles bearing out-of-state registration numbers had allegedly forcibly taken away three guests staying at the resort.
