Jammu, March 17 -- In view of the heavy influx of devotees traveling for darshan of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi during the upcoming Navratri festival starting from March 19, the Jammu Division of Northern Railway has decided to attach an additional sleeper coach to Kolkata-Jammu Tawi-Kolkata Express.
"The facility will remain available from March 20 to April 2, aiming to accommodate the surge in passenger traffic during the festive period," Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal said in a statement here.
He said that the move is expected to significantly improve the chances of ticket confirmation for passengers currently on long waiting lists.
