Jammu, June 16 -- Scripting yet another success story in its litchi parcel loading service from Pathankot, Punjab, the Jammu Division of Northern Railway has successfully loaded 8.3 tons of litchi from Pathankot Cantt Railway Station and dispatched via SLR to major railway stations across the country like Bandra Terminus, Surat, Saharanpur and Ahmedabad.
As per the handout, the loading service for various destinations is currently ongoing during the litchi season and has become a reliable transport medium for local farmers and traders.
Fresh fruits are being transported to different parts of the country in less time and safely through parcel vans.
