Hyderabad, Aug. 7 -- Telangana Tourism, Culture, Archaeology and Excise Minister Jupally Krishna Rao on Friday dismissed the BRS' allegations over irrigation projects in the erstwhile Palamuru district, asserting that water is being released to Jurala, Nettempadu, Bhima and Koilsagar projects strictly according to technical plans despite deficient rainfall caused by El Nino.

Addressing a press conference at the Secretariat along with MLAs Madhusudan Reddy and Veerlapalli Shankar and senior irrigation officials, the Minister said inflows into the reservoirs were improving due to rains in upstream areas and that irrigation officials were managing water releases scientifically.
