Hyderabad, March 23 -- Telangana Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao on Monday informed the Assembly that there is no shortage of urea or fertiliser in the state and adequate stocks are being maintained to meet farmers' needs.

Replying during Question Hour, the Minister said the government has introduced a fertiliser booking mobile application on a pilot basis to ensure transparent and systematic distribution. The app allows farmers to check real-time stock availability with dealers and cooperative societies and book urea in advance, thereby reducing uncertainty, long waiting times and overcrowding.
