Malda, June 13 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Friday issued a stern warning to the police administration, asserting that incidents such as those witnessed in Beldanga and Mothabari would not be allowed to recur in the state.

Addressing a high-level administrative review meeting involving the districts of Malda, Murshidabad, Uttar Dinajpur and Dakshin Dinajpur at Malda College Auditorium, the Chief Minister emphasised the need for responsive governance and strict adherence to administrative procedures to prevent law and order breakdowns.

Referring to recent incidents of unrest, Adhikari said public grievances must be heard promptly and complaints lodged by citizens should never be ignored.
