Kolkata, June 24 -- West Bengal Urban Development and Municipal Affairs minister Agnimitra Paul has strictly prohibited the performance of any religious rituals, including Chhath Puja, at South Kolkata's Rabindra Sarobar Lake.

After taking a tour of the lake premises, Paul talked to the morning walkers and activists associated with Rabindra Sarobar (man-made lake). During her visit, she took notes of concerns and complaints in detail from the joggers. Some of the elderly citizens raised concerns over uneven pathways inside the lake, resulting in stumbling or even accidental falls.
