Prayagraj, Nov. 3 -- The Allahabad High Court has clarified that no permit is required for transporting cattle within Uttar Pradesh, delivering a significant ruling in a case concerning the seizure of cattle.
The court held that the presumption of cow slaughter based solely on the seizure of a vehicle in a border district was legally incorrect.
Justice Sandeep Jain delivered this ruling after hearing Neshar Shah's petition, presented by his advocate Vipin Kumar Singh and the government lawyer.
