Kolkata, Aug. 4 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which recently formed the government in West Bengal after its victory in the Assembly elections, has temporarily suspended its membership drive and ruled out the induction of leaders or workers from other political parties until further notice, party sources said on Tuesday.
The decision comes amid growing political speculation over a possible influx of leaders from rival parties, particularly the Trinamool Congress (TMC), into the BJP following the change of government. However, the party's state leadership has made it clear that organisational discipline will take precedence over expansion at this stage.
