Mumbai, June 12 -- The political landscape in Maharashtra witnessed a sharp divide on Friday over the potential merger of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) and the Indian National Congress, as senior leaders from both sides presented conflicting narratives.
NCP (SP) State President Shashikant Shinde categorically dismissed the ongoing speculation, asserting that no proposal for a merger has been exchanged between the two parties.
