Guwahati, March 11 -- Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma sought to allay fears of LPG shortage in the state, saying there is no shortage of domestic LPG.
"I am in discussion, and there is no shortage of domestic LPG in the state now. India has started procuring gas from about 40 countries. Russia is sending oil and gas to India," Sarma told newsmen on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister said there is no crisis as of now. "Prime Minister Narendra Modi managed to provide oxygen during the COVID-19 although there was a feeling that there would be a crisis of Oxygen. We did not face any crisis of Oxygen. Now, Prime Minister Modi will ensure that there is no LPG crisis in the country," Sarma said.
