Chandrapur, March 14 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today claimed there is no shortage of cooking gas cylinders in the country and accused opposition parties of spreading rumours to create panic among citizens.

Speaking to the media in Bhadravati of Chandrapur district, Fadnavis said a panic-like situation has been created with people standing in queues outside gas agencies despite repeated assurances from the government and the Petroleum department that adequate domestic gas is available.

He alleged that the opposition parties are trying to create confusion and fear among citizens and are attempting to make people stand in queues unnecessarily.
