New Delhi, July 10 -- The Press Information Bureau (PIB) Fact Check unit dismissed a claim as "fake" circulating on social media that an LPG tanker carrying supplies to India was hit in an Iranian missile strike.

In a post on social media platform X, PIB Fact Check said that Pakistani propaganda accounts were sharing an old image with a misleading claim to create panic among citizens.

The image being circulated actually relates to a fire that broke out onboard the Cameroon-flagged LPG tanker MV Falcon following an explosion off the coast of Aden, Yemen, on October 18, 2025.
