Chandigarh, April 2 -- Punjab Finance, Excise, and Taxation Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema announced on Thursday that the state has recorded a robust 12.52 per cent growth in Net Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections for the financial year 2025-26.

The total net collection for the fiscal year reached Rs 26,601.12 crore, marking a significant increase of Rs 2,959.04 crore compared to the Rs 23,642.08 crore collected in the previous financial year. This performance notably positions Punjab ahead of the national average growth rate of approximately 6 per cent.
