Navi Mumbai, May 11 -- The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has operationalised Maharashtra's largest single-roof dialysis centre, a 50-bed facility at the Vivekananda Cultural Centre in Vashi Sector 14 of the satellite Navi Mumbai city .

The centre, inaugurated to address rising demand for renal care, provides dialysis free of charge. Officials said the move aims to reduce the financial burden on patients, as private dialysis typically costs between Rs 3,000 and Rs 3,500 per session and is required two to three times weekly.
