Mumbai, July 30 -- The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has begun preparing a comprehensive Climate Change Action Plan (CCAP) aimed at strengthening the city's resilience against climate change and rising sea levels, following concerns raised by environmental groups over the vulnerability of India's coastal regions.

The civic body informed the NatConnect Foundation that the proposed plan would focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, conserving green spaces and water bodies, improving water management, promoting sustainable urban development and implementing climate adaptation measures.
