Panchkula, July 18 -- The National Medical Commission (NMC) has asked all medical colleges and institutions to follow a clarification issued by the Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) regarding the determination of eligibility for teaching positions under the Medical Institutions (Qualifications of Faculty) Regulations, 2025 (MIQF-2025).
In a communication issued on Friday, the NMC referred institutions to the PGMEB Public Notice dated July 16, 2026, stating that it explains the Board's role in determining eligibility for teaching posts and addresses queries relating to the issuance of eligibility certificates and faculty appointments.
