Patna, Sept. 6 -- Janata Dal (United) national president and former Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar today visited several flood-affected areas of Patna district to take stock of the situation and interact with people facing difficulties due to the rising water levels.

Accompanied by Lalan Kumar Sarraf, Deputy Leader of the ruling party in the Bihar Legislative Council, Kumar visited flood-hit villages including Punpun, Akauna, Nima, Beldarichak, Lakhna, Nihalchak, Baluachak, Devkali, Dhanarua, Veer Oriyara, Sevdaha Bigha, Avadhara, Pabheri, Jalalpur, Sahuru and Sai.
