Patna, March 5 -- Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's emotional post on X announcing his decision to go to the Rajya Sabha and step down from the CM's post is being seen as the end of an era in the state's politics and the rise of a new leadership.
There is a possibility that a BJP leader may hold the top position.
It is believed that Nitish Kumar's son Nishant Kumar could be made the new Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, and at the same time the command of Janata Dal United (JDU) might be completely handed over to him.
Nitish Kumar may remain Chief Minister only until April 10, because the term of the outgoing members will end around that time, after which his Rajya Sabha tenure will formally begin.
