Patna, March 25 -- Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday said that the state has witnessed sustained development and improved governance since the formation of the NDA government on November 24, 2005.

Addressing a programme at Ara in Bhojpur district under his ongoing "Samriddhi Yatra," Kumar said over four successive terms from 2005 to 2025 , his government has worked across sectors including education, healthcare, roads, electricity and agriculture, with a strong focus on women empowerment.

He asserted that law and order has significantly improved compared to the pre-2005 period, when fear and communal tensions were prevalent. Now there is an atmosphere of peace, harmony and development in the state, he said.
