Banka, March 17 -- Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday announced that an industrial area will be developed in Banka district to promote establishment of new industries and boost employment opportunities.

Addressing a public interaction programme in Katoria block, the Chief Minister said here that several development works have already been carried out in the district.

He highlighted construction of key roads and bridges, including Ghogha-Panjwara and Akbarnagar-Amarpur roads, along with an ongoing bypass project in Amarpur.

He also mentioned the establishment of an engineering college and a polytechnic institute in the district.
