Patna, March 8 -- Nishant Kumar, son of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, on Sunday visited a Mazar near the Patna High Court and offered a chadar shortly after formally joining the Janata Dal (United), signalling a message of inclusiveness at the beginning of his political journey.

Nishant, who joined JD(U) earlier in the day at the party's state headquarters in Patna, visited the shrine to seek blessings as he stepped into active politics. Offering the chadar at the Mazar is considered a traditional gesture of respect and prayer.

Speaking to media persons, Nishant said he would respect all religions and work to bring people of different communities together while strengthening the party in the days ahead.
