Mumbai, July 8 -- The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday carried out coordinated searches at multiple premises in neighbouring /Panvel and Navi Mumbai city as part of its probe into an alleged online terror radicalisation and conspiracy case, detaining one person for questioning, officials said.
The investigation stems from a case first registered in Andhra Pradesh, which was subsequently handed over to the NIA owing to its alleged inter-state ramifications.
Officials said the searches were conducted based on leads gathered during the course of the investigation into a suspected network accused of using digital platforms to spread extremist ideology and recruit impressionable individuals.
